Alison Wright Architects brings a focused, creative vision to each project supported by a thorough understanding of building codes, budget issues and construction methods.

Alison Wright Architects was founded in 1987. Projects vary from small residential remodels to large industrial buildings. Each design is approached on its individual attributes and requirements. Projects within historic contexts and with significant urban design issues such as the renovated warehouse at Venice and National, Chapman Market and the 7th Street Produce Market in downtown Los Angeles address past memories of the city which contribute to our sense of place in the present.

Light, color and volume are used in unexpected ways to create rich, interesting spatial sequence as shown in the offices for Johans/Lowry Advertising & Illustration and Rabuck/Carnie Advertising, both located in the historic Helms Building. Alison Wright

Alison Wright is an architect based in Los Angeles, where she opened Alison Wright Architects in 1987. She was a faculty member at Otis Art Institute of Parsons School of Design from 1987 to 1990, and she was director of design for Levin & Associates from 1980 to 1987. She held the position of designer/job captain with Group Arcon in 1980.

In association with Levin & Associates, Wright received a 1987 American Institute of Architects Honor Award for her design of the McDonalds at the Fine Arts Building, Los Angeles; and she received a 1988 Urban League Institute award for the Downtown Women's Center, Los Angeles. In 1991 Wright received the Los Angeles Conservancy Preservation Award for her design for the 7th Street Produce Market.

Wright studied French literature at the Universite de Strasbourg from 1975 to 1976. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Southern California in 1980, and a Bachelor of Architecture degree for the Southern California Institute of Architecture in 1981.
