Daly, Genik is an experienced and energetic architectural firm dedicated to excellence in building design a nd construction. At the onset of each project, a team of design and technical experts is assembled to meet the project requirements and oversee the project to completion.
Ongoing input from engineering, mechanical and electrical consultants, as well as from regulatory officials and building contractors is maintained from the beginning of each project throughout construction. We see our relationship to our clients as a collaborative process : we invite ongoing participation and input, and encourage a discussion of major project landmarks.
Our office has fully integrated CAD in the production and coordination of design and construction documents. This maximizes the efficiency with which we deliver our work.In addition, we use a number of modeling programs to produce ongoing views and three dimensional studies documenting the work as it develops.
Daly, Genik is an award winning architectural firm based in Santa Monica, California. Its two principals, Kevin Daly and Chris Genik, are recognized practitioners and are respected educators in their field. Established in 1989, their practice is distinguished by its commitment to problem solving in specialized built environments, by their application of disciplined design principles, and modern technology.
Fusion of the architect’s trained intellect with the craftsman’s practical ingenuity is a defining element in Daly, Genik’s approach to architectural design. Fluid and experimental, their work evolves out of empirical observation and collaborative effort, involving the participation of specialists in building engineering, component manufacturing, and landscape design.
Daly Genik’s active involvement in the execution of their designs is clearly expressed in a number of projects whose interior and exterior spaces achieve rigorous serenity of a refined yet practical aesthetic. The scope of their practice also encompasses master plans for the adaptive reuse of large urban spaces, and neighborhood designs for low income housing. Issues of perception, abstraction, neutrality and projection are further explored in a variety of multimedia projects where new technologies are assimilated in the architects’ appropriation of media, materials, and processes
