Larry Totah was born in Texas and studied environmental design, architecture, interior design and art history at Victoria College, Woodbury University, UCLA, the University of Houston and the Southern California Institute of Architecture. He established his architectural and interior design business, Totah Design, Inc. in 1981, co-created Cozmopole, an influential Los Angeles salon of artist-inspired furnishings from around the world, in 1986 and started Totah Studio, his furniture line in 1986
Today Totah Design and Totah Studio function in the capacity of design for architecture, interior design and furniture design. Totah Studio products are sold throughout the trade and at specialty retail stores around the United States.
Larry Totah's stunning sculptural furniture first became known to a broad public in 1986, when he and a co-partner opened Cozmopole in Los Angeles. His furniture design was and is recognized throughout the interior design community for its purity of line and its originality, quality and detailing.
