The composition was constructed using notes from a sheet of music. Each note from a section of a jazz piece dictated what object would be used and where it would be placed. The musical piece used has a part for violin and piano. Using Kandinsky's "Point, Line and Plane" as a reference, I interpreted the sound of each instrument to how the image was treated in the composition.

For the violin, a leaf image was used to simulate the flowing sound of the instrument To add emphasis, the leaf image of the last note would connect and blend with the image of the following note. This would often call for an elongation of the image. For the piano, I used portions of a bottle placed vertically (higher notes) and horizontally (lower notes). The higher the note, the thinner and smaller the portion of the image was used.   Next
