The placement of each image depended on the note as well. The composition was divided into a 16 quadrants grid (solid-lined grid) with another 16 quadrant grid shifted and underlayed (dashed-lined grid). Each note was given a quadrant which would therefore dictate where the image would be placed.The underlined notes on the grid stand for notes that are one octave above middle C in the treble and notes one octave below middle C in the bass. |
