Trevor D. Abramson
TREVOR D. ABRAMSON, A.I.A. Principal Trevor D. Abramson received a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1983 from the University of Southern California, where he was a recipient of the American Institute of Architecture Scholastic Award, Award of Merit for excellence in the study of Architecture. In 1984, he received a Master of Science in Architecture and Building Design degree from Columbia University in New York City.
Mr. Abramson has been in practice in his own firm for the past ten years, and in that time has completed over 1 million square feet of tenant improvement , $15 million of commercial buildings and over $35 million of residential construction.
Prior to starting his own architecture practice, Mr. Abramson worked for one-and-a-half years as a project designer in the office of Welton Becket & Associates in Los Angeles. Here, he was responsible for the design of a 30-story mixed-use building in San Diego, and a Bullocks Department Store in the Promenade Shopping Center in Woodland Hills. In addition, he was responsible for the design of the winning entry to the competition for the proposed "Hall of Evolving Life" at the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum.
Before working at Welton Becket, Mr. Abramson worked for John Burgee Architects with Phillip Johnson in New York as a project designer. He was responsible for the design and production of the building lobby and exterior building elevation packages for the $250 million Fort Hill Square office complex in Boston.
He is registered in the state of California and in the state of Colorado and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Mr. Abramson co-authored Kohn Pederson Fox, Buildings and Projects, 1976-1986 (Rizzoli International Publications, 1987), and has had several articles published on his work. He has taught at the University of Southern California School of Architecture and frequently serves on academic juries.
