SPAIN - University of Houston- Summer Program in Salamanca, Spain
College of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Communication
After several days of orientation in Houston, our group will fly to Madrid, where we will spend an exciting week getting to know one of Europe's most vibrant capitals. From Madrid, we will make several excursions to surrounding cities, such as Toledo, Avila and Segovia. In June we move to Salamanca, one of Spain's most beautiful small cities and the location of its oldest university. For one month you will study at the University of Salamanca and experience Spanish life by staying with local families. In mid-June we will take our last group excursion to Granada, home of the enchanting Alhambra, the palace of the last Moorish Kings of Andalusia. During your time in Spain you will be immersed in Spanish language and culture, surrounded on all sides by intriguing historical monuments and the charm of contemporary Spanish society. There is no better way to learn the language, history and culture of a country than by enjoying it firsthand, and our program offers you a perfect opportunity to combine serious academic study with the delights of Spain.
Cost; The program will cost between $2,950.00 and $3,100.00. PROGRAM May 25 - July 1, 1997
